Tebogo Maila
Tebogo has been working in the film industry since 2006 and has built an accomplished career where she started her career from being Assistant Production Accountant to currently co-owning Blue Ice Africa a Film/Television Production Company based in Cape Town, South Africa and she also co-owns a Payroll and Post production accounting company, QSAPPE. She has studied Financial Accounting at the University of Johannesburg and Business Management at Unisa.
She was a Director at Out of Africa Entertainment from 2011 – 2018, also employed by the company as the Head of Business Affairs from 2016 -2018 and Head of Finance from 2012 – 2014. In 2014 – 2016 she managed a bridge-financing fund at SAMCAP, a subsidiary of Blue Ice Group Capital based in Canada.
Tebogo has been a Producer since 2013, she produced Slumber Party Massacre (Telemovie – 2021); Jiva! (Netflix Series – 2020); Vagrant Queen (Sci-fi TV Series – 2019); Indian Detective (Comedy drama TV Series – 2017); Fanie Fourie’s Lobola (Feature Film – 2013; which has accumulated some accolades since their release dates). She has also been involved in many other critically acclaimed feature films and television series from 2010 to date.
Over the years she has established solid relationships with key South African stakeholders in the Film Industry, being the DTIC (Department of Trade, Industry and Competition), the IDC (Industrial Development Corporation), NFVF (National Film and Video Foundation) as well as the DAC (Department of Arts and Culture).
