The International Film School Mauritius has opened enrolment for all courses through December 2027, with new intakes starting every month. Whether you want to act, shoot, direct, edit or produce, there is a seat on set waiting for you.
31 courses, every film department
Our catalogue now spans 31 professional short courses across every department of a working film set: acting for film (beginners, advanced, and the Robyn Scott Master Class), cinematography (camera, grips, lighting), directing, documentary filmmaking, drone aerial videography, screenwriting, post-production and editing, visual effects and animation, game development, our new AI for film course, plus the business side — producing, production coordinating, film accounting, and marketing and distribution. Several business-track courses are available fully online, so you can study from anywhere in the world.
What it costs, and what you get
Fees range from EUR 550 to EUR 800 depending on the programme. Every course is taught in English by international industry professionals, on professional film equipment that the school provides — you never need to buy your own gear. Courses lead to a certificate, and International Film School Mauritius is accredited by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA).
From classroom to film set
The film rebate scheme in Mauritius keeps international productions shooting on the island year-round, and IFSM exists to feed that industry with trained crew. Graduates access on-set placements, positions with our partner companies, and ongoing work through our crew agency — in Mauritius and across the Indian Ocean region.
How to apply
