International Film School Mauritius is an innovative educational institution for the film industry. Joining our institution will open doors for students to many new skills and work opportunities. The local Mauritian film industry is a growing sector, with numerous film projects looking for film in Mauritius, and therefore seeking new skilled crew and cast.

We offer short courses of Beginners, Advanced, Combined, and Master classes related to the Film industry. We offer different courses related to the different departments across the film ecosystem. The courses can be found on Courses page.

The application is done by filling the application form on the website.

Anyone who has a strong desire and passion for the Film Industry and have an academic background that satisfies the institution's requirements.

• A Minimum of School certificate is required or Professional from the film sector (Evidence is required) • A fair understandable of English language is required (written and spoken)

Counselling will be offered and assistance will be given to students for the selection of their courses.

The International Film school institution is an approved recognized institute by the Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA).

After completion of the courses, students may have the opportunity to have on set placement or placement in our partner's companies, in the departments the student has specialized in. These will be paid internships. We recommend that the student spend at least 6 months working as an intern, before seeking paid employment. The students will also be eligible to join our Crew Agency, which will focus on placing students in paying job positions.

All our lecturers are experienced in their chosen positions and have worked extensively in the film industry. They also have experience in teaching and passing on their knowledge to students.

The cost varies between 550 EUR to 650 EUR, depending upon which program you enrol.

Facilities may be given to specific cases upon approval of the management (example: Half payment before the start and remaining payment before delivering of Certificate).

No equipment is needed, the institution will provide all equipment needed. However, if any of the equipment is misused or broken due to irresponsibility or negligence on the part of the student, penalty fees will be imposed.
