Once a film is complete, it needs to be seen by an audience. We shall examine how to develop an audience strategy, right at the very beginning of the process, and how to reach this audience using a variety of off-line and online tools.
This vital part of the process will include understanding how to reach the various buyers and sellers across the world, the role of film festivals, and social media, the difference between sales (B2B) and exhibition (B2C) and the fast evolving new world of (B2C) online platforms.
Each Course or module will be two weeks in length.
THEORY
The 1st week will involve an introduction to the theory with regards each specific module.
PRACTICE
The 2nd week will involve the physical production of a 3-minute film, by students organized in teams, which will be conceived, prepared, filmed and edited by themselves.
MENTORING
- These films and students will be mentored by the Tutors;
- Students will be encouraged to build up a body of work, both during and after their courses.
- Students will be encouraged to specialize from the beginning.
- And to form creative teams where they will learn to work in groups.
