Students will gain a working knowledge of all elements of how to move a camera. This will involve the etiquette round the camera, how to build tracks, cranes and use of Steadicams and EasyRigs. Safety on set will also be covered.
It is advised that the enthusiastic student participate in the Camera, Lighting and Grip courses.
Each Course or module will be two weeks in length.
THEORY
The 1st week will involve an introduction to the theory with regards each specific module.
PRACTICE
The 2nd week will involve the physical production of a 3-minute film, by students organized in teams, which will be conceived, prepared, filmed and edited by themselves.
MENTORING
- These films and students will be mentored by the Tutors;
- Students will be encouraged to build up a body of work, both during and after their courses.
- Students will be encouraged to specialize from the beginning.
- And to form creative teams where they will learn to work in groups.
