Cinematography: Camera – Advanced Level

Students will get exposure to advanced principles of motion picture cameras and with the very latest associated technology. They will build up and breakdown a variety of cameras, engage in Framing and Lights set up. They will learn on different types of shots, and ratio aspects.
Students will have to demonstrate a high level of responsiveness and are expected to participate equally in the lectures. Students will work with the other students and film short films as part of the course.
Each Course or module will be two weeks in length.
THEORY
The 1st week will involve an introduction to the theory with regards each specific module.
PRACTICE
The 2nd week will involve the physical production of a 3-minute film, by students organized in teams, which will be conceived, prepared, filmed and edited by themselves.
MENTORING
- These films and students will be mentored by the Tutors;
- Students will be encouraged to build up a body of work, both during and after their courses.
- Students will be encouraged to specialize from the beginning.
- And to form creative teams where they will learn to work in groups.
